Order Petmate Walkabout Retractable Leash, Large, Black

I've owned the Walkabout (large) for more than 7 years. I'm a trainer and I'm on my third Golden Retriever with the same leash and have finally worn it out - not the fault of the leash - but mine. I've tried many of the other retractable leashes and, honestly, you can't properly control a 65+ lb dog with a thumb stop, you really need the trigger stop that does not automatically lock like the inferior thumb stop leashes. Thumb stops are fine for little dogs, but I wouldn't have one for them either, personally. Plus the "rope" style leash is the best. Web style retractable leashes stretch and do not provide the proper feel for handling your dog. Of course, no dog should be walked on any retractable leash until they understand leash etiquette. Start with the best 6 foot leash and keep it short until your "best friend" learns how to handle the freedom properly.

If you want the best, and want to stop your frustration in walking your dog, get the Walkabout. I'm purchasing my second now and look forward to another 7 years of success. NO, I'm not connected to the company in any way...I just like this leash. Nothing else comes close. (If I could find the little triangular bit to unscrew the screws in my current leash, I bet I could fix it.)

PS: Make certain that you purchase the leash that is properly sized for your dog - when the dog is an adult! Buying a small leash for your puppy isn't going to hack it when that puppy adds 40+ pounds in less than a year.Get more detail about Petmate Walkabout Retractable Leash, Large, Black.
