I love walking my standard schnauzer with this lead. The button that holds the lead at a consistent length works great, as does the retraction mechanism. The only problem was when I sat down to visit with other walkers and was not paying 100% attention to my dog, he chewed through the belted lead in less than 3 minutes. Granted, he is an aggressive chewer, but wow, he went through it quickly. I admit this is a dog-walker problem rather than a product problem, but it would be nice if the manufacturer could design it so the lead is tougher where the dog's teeth can destroy it.
