Admittedly, the product description does not represent the leash as leather, but nor does it represent the leash as cheesy vinyl. I had this leash for two months and it snapped into two pieces. In retrospect, I would have been surprised if my 6-month-old, 50lb German Shepherd puppy did NOT snap this thing, as it is simply light-duty fabric on one side and thin vinyl on the other side. "AKC Leash" sounds good, but it clearly doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the product. Better to find a "leather" leash and spend a few dollars more.....Get more detail about AKC Leash Large Brown 1"x6'.
