This was a replacement for the original collar. (Dog chewed up the other one.) This is the only collar that will work with my Jack Russell. He has such a strong neck that he laughs at a choker collar and just does his own thing which is usually pulling for all he is worth. With this collar he has to obey. He really hates the collar and will run and hide when he sees me get it out but once it is on him he's a different dog. Much calmer and more obedient.
