We ordered three size small collars and they fit our fairly regular sized pug and our two larger than average pugs.
The complaints that these break away too easily have not been true with our dogs, though I could see it being true with larger dogs.
The ability to still attach a lead to this collar by using both rings is great- we usually walk our dogs on a harness, but being able to use the collar for a short walk is really helpful. The rings seem just a bit far apart or a bit too small for how far apart they are- one of our smaller leads has a small clasp that doesn't reach between them easily.
The only real downside is that sometimes the brass rings will weigh it down so they slide around to the front but that probably wouldn't happen if we had heavier id tags than we do, and it really isn't a big deal- there's no harm in having the break away point in front and it can easily be turned back around.
